How to Recover Deleted/Lost Messages in iPhone 5 (Windows & Mac)

My issue is that I recently got an iPhone 5 from my father and it is with iOS 7.1.2. I backed up my 4 on 5.0.1 and tried to restore the profile onto the iPhone 5. Like most people experienced, everything got ported as normal to the new iPhone except the messages. I have tried to do the restore on Mac, PC and iCloud, and all no luck.

I tried not encrypting the backup, that didn’t work either. Did anyone find out if any solutions have fixed this issue? How can I get the lost messages on iPhone 5?

Is It Possible to Get Deleted or Lost Text Messages Back?

Actually, when messages delete from iPhone, they don’t get deleted immediately, they still stay somewhere on our phone but technically marked as deletion by the operating system and can’t be detected by our eyes.

So it is absolutely possible to recover deleted iPhone text messages. However, you should be aware of the Notice: Stop using your iPhone as long as the data is erased. The reason is that if you use your iPhone, then the space is likely to be overwritten by other new data so that the deleted data was gone forever. One of my friends ever suffered this data gone forever accident. He restored his iPhone 4S to factory reset and lost all data, what’s worse, he upgraded the new iOS 8 Beta 5 to the reset iPhone, then when update was finished and he was going to recover the data with iPhone Data Recovery software for Mac. But nothing is found on his phone! And he didn’t make any backup before the factory reset!

What a painful experience!
